Mission Statement:

The BLRA PTO exists to foster a positive working relationship among students, parents, school personnel and the community by providing a variety of educational and fun experiences and the development of academic excellence. PTO will help to create school pride in students, parents, teachers and the community. Each year we are responsible for fundraising for items not budgeted for in the school’s general budget. We also organize fun events for the students and teachers throughout the school year. We always need help, so come join us today!

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year. We hope this school year is full of fun, learning, growth, and amazing memories. We encourage every family to become PTO Members so that you can have a lasting impact at BLRA - when our teachers and parents work together our kids win!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with us, we are a volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers, administrators, and support staff who are all dedicated to the successful education of our children.  The BLRA PTO works hard to help make the school year both enjoyable and exciting for students, teachers, and parents.

Participation is easy and we will need as many volunteers as possible.  There are many opportunities to volunteer and participate so we are able to be flexible enough to work around your schedule.  Our group meets approximately once a month (generally on the first Tuesday of every month in the school library) to discuss events, plan fundraisers to enhance all programs, and share ideas. This is a wonderful way to find out what is happening at our school from the PTO’s perspective. We also help you meet your required two hours per month of volunteer time.

We in the PTO believe that it is the ultimate importance that we do everything we can to enhance the learning environment of our children both in academics and in life. When all of us work together and support our kids, the benefit improves exponentially.

We look forward to getting to know you and your families!

- Alexandra Tomei, President 2017-2018
