All of these options allow the parents to purchase the items and then take them to an approved embroidery store. (Details below)

BLRA will receive 5% cash back from French Toast when we use their source code.


Uniform Policy

Uniforms for all Banning Lewis Ranch Academy students are mandatory.  Uniforms must be worn during school hours, including field trips, except under special circumstances or as announced.  Uniforms must also be worn for all before and after school programs.  Uniforms are not required for any evening or weekend unless specified.  Classroom teachers and administrators will make final decisions regarding uniform issues.  The teachers will be responsible for reminding students of neatness.  Any checking will be done visually, and parents will be notified of non-compliance.

All uniform items except belts, socks, tights, turtlenecks and bike shorts must be purchased through our approved vendors.

 Uniform Rules

1. All shirts, blouses, windbreakers, and sweatshirts worn in the classroom must be approved uniform items and have the BLRA logo embroidered on them. When wearing sweatshirts an approved uniform blouse or shirt must be worn underneath.

2. Shoes must be worn at all times. Student’s shoes should be in basic colors (black, brown, navy, white) the same color shoes are to be worn on both feet. Shoes should be conservative in style. Open-toed shoes, “heelies”, mules and “crocs” are not permitted. Tennis shoes/sneakers may have more than one color, but may not have lights, characters or prints.

3. Socks, tights, or nylon stockings should coordinate with uniform colors. Approved colors are white and navy. Khaki socks can be worn with pants only. Solid color socks only no patterns, polka or stripes.

4. Students in grades K – 5th may not wear make-up or nylon stockings.

5. The hemline in jumpers and skirt will not be shorter than two inches above the knee. Shorts must be long enough to extend beyond the student’s fingertips when the hand is extended down the thigh. Girls are encouraged to wear biking shorts underneath skirts and jumpers.

6. Students with pants or shorts having belt loops must always wear belts. Buckles should be plain and belts should be in basic colors (black, brown, or navy). Belts are optional for kindergarten students.

7. Tattoos and body piercing, other than earrings, are not allowed. Students are allowed to wear one earring per ear. For safety reasons, hoop-style earrings larger than a dime and dangling earrings are not allowed.

8. Hairstyle and color must be neat and conservative. Hair may only be dyed in naturally occurring colors.

9. Outer wear that is worn for warmth to and from school and outside at recess is not considered a uniform item and are not to be worn in the classroom. No hats to be worn in the classroom or in the school building.

10. Turtlenecks may be worn under an approved uniform item and coordinate with the colors worn. No logos or emblems are allowed on turtlenecks.

11. Snow boots may be worn to school, but uniform approved shoes must be worn once inside the classroom.

12. Students are to present a neat appearance. They must wear their shirts and blouses tucked inside their pants, skirts or shorts. Pants, skirts may not have holes or tears. Shoelaces should be tied at all times, and all uniform items should be an appropriate size for the individual. Shoelaces should be conservative colors (white, black, brown, navy).

13. Items not covered above, but considered inappropriate, unsafe, or a distraction from the learning environment are subject to review by the administration and teachers. Cheerful, consistent compliance is expected.

14. The BLRA staff, with support of the BLRA Board, reserves the right to deny, at its discretion, any item that is noticeable different in style, color, or fabric. Any checking will be done visually and parents will be notified of non-conformance.
